Terms

The short version

Meetsy is a scheduling service we host and run. Hosts publish booking pages; people book time on them; we send the confirmations, calendar invites and reminders. It's provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee unless we've agreed one with you separately. Use it for what it's for and be decent to the people you meet through it.

Who we are

Meetsy is operated by doubleslash.studio. When these terms say “we” or “us” they mean the operator of this service; “you” means you, whether you're a host with an account or someone booking a meeting. The service and your data are hosted in the UK. You can reach us at meetsy@doubleslash.studio.

Your account

To take bookings you create an account and an organisation. You're responsible for what happens under it: keep your login details to yourself, and make sure anyone you invite into your organisation is meant to be there. Everything your organisation publishes, your booking pages, branding, event names and descriptions, is your responsibility, not ours.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live to run an organisation, and the details you give us should be accurate.

Bookings

A confirmed booking is an arrangement between the host and the person who booked it. Meetsy records it and sends the emails; it isn't a party to the meeting and can't guarantee either side turns up. Rescheduling and cancellations follow the links in the confirmation email and the host's own settings.

Acceptable use

Don't use a booking page to harass anyone, to send unsolicited email, or to collect data you have no right to collect. Don't use Meetsy to break the law, to impersonate someone, or to host content you don't have the rights to. And don't try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or get at data that isn't yours. We can suspend or remove anything, or anyone, doing those things.

Meeting links and other services

If a host connects Zoom or Google, the meeting link is created in theiraccount through that provider, and your use of that link is subject to the provider's own terms. For a meeting held another way, a Microsoft Teams or phone call, an in-person location, or a link the host supplies, the host sets the details. Any of these can fail for reasons outside anyone's control; when that happens the booking still stands and the host sends a link another way.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Meetsy running and to give reasonable notice of anything major, but there's no uptime commitment unless we've given you one in writing. We may add, change or retire features, and occasionally take the service down for maintenance. If we ever discontinue Meetsy, we'll give hosts notice and a chance to export what they need first.

Content and intellectual property

You keep the rights to what you put into Meetsy, your logo, your event descriptions, your booking-form questions. You grant us the limited permission we need to host and display that content so the service works: showing your booking page, putting your logo on it, and sending it in the emails and invites the booking generates.

The Meetsy software, name, look and design are ours and stay ours. Using the service doesn't give you any rights over them.

Ending it

You can stop at any time. A host can delete their whole organisation from Settings, which removes the account, its booking pages and every booking made with it; the Privacy page explains exactly what that erases. Someone who booked can cancel from the link in their confirmation email.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or uses the service unlawfully. Where it's reasonable to, we'll tell you why first.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for missed meetings, lost or double bookings, undelivered email, or failures in a connected provider (Zoom, Google, Microsoft) or in the wider internet. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or affects the rights you have as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Meetsy changes. When we do, we'll move the date at the top, and for anything significant we'll try to give hosts notice. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you're entitled to under the law where you live.

A caveat worth reading

This is a draft, not legal advice. Have someone qualified review it against your actual setup before you rely on it commercially.
